A special commission of Soft Hemispheres and Pile High Club Cushions for
Dulux's Colour Forecasts for 2016.

These pieces were created especially for Dulux, using their colour predictions and working with the theme of Infinite Worlds.

Infinite Worlds is an aesthetic that is dark, mysterious and murky, infused with nostalgia for the futuristic design sensibility and sci-fi fantasy of the 60s and 70s.

Inspired by movement in outer space and motion under the ocean depths, these pieces are like shooting stars or jellyfish.

In addition to the natural fibres of wool, silk, cotton, linen, and mohair, synthetic fibres such as lurex and rayon were introduced to the mix.
These materials were included to reflect light and create a sense of phosphorescence.

The Pile High Club Floor Cushions and Soft Hemispheres, created for Infinite Worlds, evoke a fascination with unexplored realms - and are new take on these coveted Cakebread pieces.
